Today we started by following the link that we mentioned on our previous blog post to get the two RFM transceivers to talk to one another. After downloading this library, we followed code on the following link: https://www.inkling.com/read/arduino-cookbook-michael-margolis-2nd/chapter-14/recipe-14-6
This was to get one RFM to send a signal and the other RFM to receive the signal. After trying the different codes on the link above on both RFM circuits, we found that the second RFM circuit that we made was able to send a signal while the first one that we made couldn't send or receive a signal. We were then able to conclude that there was a problem with the first RFM's connections.
After realizing that the second RFM could send a signal, we decided to try the code that receives the signal from the weather station. This is the code that gave us many problems before. At first the code gave us weird characters but after waiting a few minutes we noticed that the serial monitor was reading temperature, humidity, rain, wind, and direction of the wind. Weather Station #1 is finally working!!!
Great news! I can't wait to see it working!
